“Sorry, what did you just say?” Ji Chenfeng frowned slightly, as if he didn’t hear what I said clearly.

Leaving him outside the door alone, I opened the door and went into the pet hospital, and asked the nurse at the front desk to go through the procedures for Xiaocao to continue his stay.

When Ji Chenfeng came back from smoking, all the formalities had been completed. I showed him the payment records on my phone, but he didn’t say anything, picked up the white plastic box with the turtle in it, and went back to the small office.

I followed behind him and closed the door after entering the office.

Ji Chenfeng carefully took out the cured tortoise and put it back into the glass tank.

The office is small and windowless, and the closed environment makes it easier for certain odors to accumulate. The smell of smoke from Ji Chenfeng’s body directly entered my lungs, stimulating my brain center, making me salivate unconsciously, and my heart beat faster.

Just as I was trying my best to resist the surging craving for cigarettes, a bottle of…fruit yogurt suddenly appeared in my vision.

I followed that clean and slender hand all the way to see Ji Chenfeng’s face.

“Yogurt, you can drink it when you are hungry.” He said.

Of course I know what it is, I just don’t understand why he gave it to me. Even when I was a child, I didn’t have this kind of thing in my life. Since I quit drinking, the only drink I can have is coffee, all kinds of bitter coffee. The milk in the coffee is probably the only thing that can be associated with this thing, but the texture of the two can be said to be very different. Just because I can drink a latte doesn’t mean I’m willing to try fruit yogurt…

Curious heads appeared out of various consulting rooms one after another, and doctors and nurses rushed to help.

I was too tired to lift my feet, so I simply stepped on the ground and dragged the dirt dog for two steps. It didn’t want to let go at all, and hung its head on my lap, uttering a low warning growl to all those who wanted to touch it.

The stupid dog who was still biting me, immediately let go of his teeth when he saw Ji Chenfeng, sat down on the ground, licked his mouth, and ran towards him with brisk steps.

The onlookers were all mortals, they dared not obstruct its way, and gave way in a panic.

The black dog with an exceptionally long tail came to Ji Chenfeng’s feet with its butt twisted. And completely unlike before, when it was so fierce and uncooperative, it lifted its front legs and pulled at Ji Chenfeng’s pants, and let out a flattering cry as if asking for a hug and kisses.
