Chapter 88 (Part 1) – There’s A Beauty

Home/ There’s A Beauty / Chapter 88 (Part 1)

After leaving the study room, seeing Xiao Shunzi coming to hug him, You Shu quickly ran into the hole in the rockery, pretending to play.

Xiao Shunzi lay on the ground and watched for a long time. He saw the puppy scratching here and there with its paws, seemingly very happy, so he ignored it and sat down not far away to wait.

The old ghost, whose body could freely expand and contract, also followed in, pleading, “Tell me more about those techniques of cutting open the stomach and that craniotomy. I don’t believe there are such miraculous techniques in the world!”

You Shu caught a cricket and held it with his little paws. He said calmly, “You won’t get any answers by provoking me. If you don’t make the master’s antidote, I won’t tell you more. You can guess yourself.”

The old ghost looked at him playing with crickets with strange eyes and asked tentatively, “Are you really a human? Not a dog spirit?” How could anyone like to play with small bugs? And play with such relish.

You Shu was so angry that he snorted twice before leaving, but was stopped by the old ghost, “Don’t go, I just said the wrong thing, can’t I apologize? Since you know so many magic skills, why can’t you even detoxify your master’s poison? Why are you still asking me for help?”

If You Shu had hands and feet, he would be able to prepare the antidote sooner or later, so why would he need to ask for help? He circled back to the small hole, squatted on the ground, raised his two fat and short front paws, asking, “Do you want me to use these to make medicine?”

Pfft! The old ghost finally couldn’t hold back and burst out laughing. Seeing You Shu’s helpless expression, he quickly apologized, “I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to laugh at you. It’s just that your current appearance looks too funny.”

You might as well not comfort me. You Shu turned around and faced the old ghost with his round buttocks. His back showed no signs of desolation at all but instead looked very funny, with his little tail swaying from side to side uncontrollably.

The old ghost almost burst into laughter again, but quickly blocked his mouth with his hands to suppress it. He said slowly, “To tell you the truth, your master has been deeply poisoned, and it will take four to five years of conditioning to completely recover. It also requires the use of my unique Golden Needle Acupuncture Technique. But now that my body has faded, I cannot touch any real objects. Not to mention giving your master acupuncture, even dispensing medicine is a problem. When my obsession was so deep in those years, I could even solidify a physical form and walk in the palace during the day.”

At this point, he paused and said tentatively, “So, in order for me to solidify my form as soon as possible, you have to teach me a few magic techniques first, so that my obsession can continue to deepen.”

You Shu just turned around and asked repeatedly, “Do you want to know how many holes a person’s heart has? How does the heart pump blood to the whole body? How should people with heart disease be treated? Do you also want to know how many bones a person has in the body, and how they are connected together to support human body movements?”

“I really want to know!” The old ghost nodded eagerly.

You Shu waved his front paws, “If you want to know, hurry up and prepare the antidote. I’ll tell you then.”

“Little friend, you are not very kind!” The old ghost looked anxiously.

You Shu tapped his almost invisible body with his paw and asked, “Didn’t you say you want to deepen your obsession? See for yourself, is your obsession deep enough now?”

The best way to deepen a person’s obsession is not to meet their requirements, but to hang them in mid-air so they can only see but not touch. You Shu, who has been teased by his master for several lifetimes, naturally understood this.

The old ghost looked at his hands and then at the puppy that looked cute but was actually as cunning as a fox, and said helplessly, “Little friend, you are so cruel! I will go to the Imperial Hospital to prepare an antidote. But let me say it first, there is no way to cure your master in the short term. His body is already in dilapidated condition. He needs to take the antidote every day and use acupuncture. The toxins can be eliminated only after two years of continuous treatment. After that, he will have to undergo strenuous exercise. It’s up to him to be able to stand up again when the time comes. Furthermore, my golden needles have been passed on to my apprentices long ago and were lost in the war. The golden needles from Imperial Hospital are very different from mine, and they will not work on your master’s body.  “

“Then I’ll ask the master to find a set?”

“No need to bother, your dog claws are much more effective than golden needles. You have golden light of merit and virtue in your body, as well as Zi Wei Emperor Qi, and a pure white soft light. The combination of the three is more effective than any spiritual medicine. You just need to force the energy in your body to the dog claw, and follow the acupuncture method of this old man to massage one by one. In a short time, your master’s legs will be able to recover consciousness. Of course, if the toxin is not clear for a day, it will erode the meridians again through the blood. Just massaging them won’t work.”

You Shu stared at his dog’s paws, his eyes shining. The old ghost wanted to laugh again, but was afraid of provoking him, so he quickly crawled out and said lightly, “After making the antidote, I will bring it to you. You must find a way to make your master eat it yourself.” He was not optimistic about this. No one, especially a prince, will be willing to take the pill brought back from his pet without the fear of being poisoned.

You Shu barked twice in response. He was about to run out, but when he heard the crickets chirping in the hole, his claws uncontrollably began to dig at the ground. After turning into a dog, many of his traits were amplified. Looking at it this way, it’s not surprising that the old ghost doubted his origins. His personality is no different from that of an ordinary puppy.

By the time the master got out of school, he had already caught two crickets, one beetle, and one butterfly, all of which were rubbed to a semi-dead state and placed on the steps. Seeing the master being pushed out by someone, he quickly ran over with a beetle in his mouth, his little tail wagging wildly.

The person pushing the wheelchair was the common companion of the Seventh and Eighth Prince, named Ouyang Hongcheng, who was also the nephew of Concubine Hui. He had a rather cold and arrogant personality, and when he saw what was in the puppy’s mouth, he frowned and said in disgust, “Oh my God, it actually has a bug in its mouth. It is said that the Zangxiu dog is a noble among dogs, and its behaviour is very elegant, but why is this one so vulgar! Your Highness the Seventh Prince, please let it go away quickly, and don’t let it touch me.”

The Seventh Prince ignored his words and just reached out to hug Yu Shu, not caring that there were many jet black plum blossom marks on his white robe. You Shu quickly placed the beetle in his palm, barking loudly. Ouyang Hongcheng immediately let go of the wheelchair and took a few steps back, showing a nauseous expression.

Xiao Shunzi chased after him and said dumbly, “Your Highness, if the little cat and puppy really like their owner, they will give their favourite things as gifts. You Shu loves bugs very much, which are equivalent to treasure for him, but he can still generously give them to you, indicating that he loves you to the bone. I have never seen a little dog that became intimate with its owner this quickly. Your Highness and You Shu are indeed destined.”

The Seventh Prince was overjoyed by his words, hugging You Shu and fiercely kissing him, while his face showed a rare proud smile. Only then did Ouyang Hongcheng understand that the little dog’s catching of bugs was due to his “nature of loving the master”. Although he was still a bit afraid and disgusted, he couldn’t help but show a jealous expression. The Eighth Prince followed behind the two, and a hint of jealousy flashed through his eyes.

You Shu was still in high spirits, but now he was a little troubled. It has always been his habit to give the bugs he caught to his master, even when he was a human in his first three lifetimes. How come it has become a habit of cats and dogs in Xiao Shunzi’s mouth? Could it be that he is really suitable to be a dog? ?

While he was thinking wildly, a eunuch hurried over and said flatteringly, “Your Highness the Seventh Prince, His Majesty asked you to go to Qianqing Palace as soon as possible. I will have someone carry you there.”

Before the Seventh Prince could agree, he was lifted up by several eunuchs. Seeing that the bugs caught by You Shu were still on the ground, he quickly ordered Xiao Shunzi to put them in a glass bottle and take them with him. That is You Shu’s treasure, so he must not lose it.

“Your Highness the Eighth Prince, why do you think the Emperor is looking for the Seventh Prince?” Ouyang Hongcheng was extremely curious.

“Probably to ask him about his physical condition? What else could it be?” The Eighth Prince said in a low voice.

The two of them quickly forgot about this matter and went to Ganquan Palace to have a meal together.

Many ministers have gathered in the Qianqing Palace, circulating the strategies written by the Seventh Prince to each other, sometimes nodding, secretly praising, and sometimes marveling. Emperor Jing sat on the throne with a slightly excited expression. He never expected that the question that had troubled him for a long time would be so easily solved, and it was still proposed by his thirteen year old son.

Emperor Jing cared and loved Lao Qi(Old Seven) very much, but he never knew that his son was so outstanding. If it weren’t for profound knowledge, ingenious thinking, sharp eyesight, precise political sense, and sophisticated political skills, it would be impossible to write such an article. And he is only thirteen years old this year. How far will he grow in the future?

“What a pity! It’s really a pity!” A pavilion elder sighed, and the others also recovered from their surprise and admiration, showing a look of regret.

Emperor Jing naturally knew what they were lamenting, and his expression was also a bit gloomy. Taifu who submitted the assignment paper suggested, “Your Majesty, His Highness the Seventh Prince deliberately hides his clumsiness. He is always like this… It’s really unnecessary.”

“This child has been like this since he was young. He doesn’t fight or grab, and always remains silent. There is nothing I can do about it.” At this point, Emperor Jing’s eyes turned cold for a moment, and he secretly thought: Lao Qi’s legs are already disabled, so there is no need for him to be too careful. No one will target him because the gains outweigh the losses. Why is it that he suddenly showed his sharpness? Or who stimulated him?

Among all the princes, Emperor Jing was the most at ease and caring about Lao Qi. He was afraid that he did this just to help Lao Ba ascend to the throne, which would step on Emperor Jing’s bottom line. Not to mention that they were twins and were not qualified to inherit the throne, but he himself also didn’t want to appoint a crown prince too early.

As he was contemplating, the Seventh Prince had already been pushed into the main hall, with a snow-white puppy in his arms. His robe was covered with plum blossom paw prints, and his appearance looked very innocent, which made Emperor Jing feel a little more comfortable. The courtiers debated with him on matters related to Dragon City, covering almost everything from people’s livelihood to military affairs, from farming to taxation, but his answers were well-founded, logical, and admirable, and then extended to other government affairs, all of which were fickle and leisurely.

“Leave the affairs of Dragon City to Lao Qi. From now on, Lao Qi will come to the cabinet to discuss politics with you. It’s getting late, so let’s all disperse.” Emperor Jing spoke up. Since his son has this ability, he might as well give him more opportunities.

The ministers didn’t think that there was any problem in entrusting such important state affairs to His Highness the Seventh Prince, who was only thirteen years old. His performance just now has fully demonstrated his superb political skills. However, it’s really a pity!
