You Shu was originally worried about how to break the witchcraft, but after meeting his master, he was no longer worried. As long as he can be with his master, even if he becomes a dog, he is willing. If he regained his human body, he may not have the chance encounter he has now, let alone get along day and night. If he wants to enter the palace again, he may have to become a eunuch.

The Seventh Prince and the Eighth Prince lived together in the Shuangxue Palace. Because the Seventh Prince was not in good health and needed a lot of attendants to take care of him, he lived in the most spacious main courtyard, while the Eighth Prince lived in the side hall. The two brothers seem to have a harmonious relationship, but in reality they have little contact with each other.

As soon as the Seventh Prince returned to the palace, he asked for a basin of warm water and prepared to personally bathe the puppy. He was worried that he would hurt the puppy by using the wrong technique, so he specially asked for a eunuch from the Cat and Dog House to take care of all the daily affairs of the puppy from now on.  

You Shu lay on his back between his master’s legs, his four little paws raised towards the sky, exposing his soft and round belly, twisting and humming.

The Seventh Prince was flustered by its wet and bright round pupils, and said in a trembling voice, “Its ….what’s wrong with it? Is it uncomfortable?”

The little eunuch smiled as he adjusted the water temperature, “It’s feeling comfortable and it wants Your Highness to rub its belly. The belly is the vital part of small animals, and it is usually well protected. If they lie on their backs and expose their belly to you, then it means that they have accepted you wholeheartedly and are expressing their attachment to you. Your Highness is indeed destined for this Zangxiu dog, and it has become so close to you in such a short time.”

“Really?” The Seventh prince’s face didn’t show it, but his ears slowly turned red. He stretched out his hand to rub the puppy’s belly. He was fascinated by the fluffy and soft touch, and soon started enjoying it.

You Shu always liked to circle around his master when he was still a human, let alone after turning into a dog? He longed for his master’s touch and embrace, as if it was an innate instinct. Seeing his master rubbing his belly, his mouth also started to itch, and he gently grinded his master’s fingertips with the small teeth that haven’t yet fully developed, making a low hum.

Many goosebumps immediately appeared on the back of the Seventh Prince’s hands, but it was not because of disgust, but because of joy and excitement. He felt as if his cold heart had melted into a puddle of water at the puppy’s cute behaviour.

“It’s still small now and won’t bite anyone. What will happen after it grows up in the future? Won’t it hurt His Highness? Look, it’s biting His Highness’ finger.” The palace maid, who had been silent all this time, suddenly spoke up.

The Seventh Prince’s joyful expression instantly subsided, but the little eunuch laughed dumbly, “Auntie, you are worrying too much. The reason why the Zangxiu dog is called Zangxiu dog is; Firstly, because it comes from Wusizang(Tibet); Secondly, because it will never grow up in size and can be carried in the sleeves of its owner anytime and anywhere. After this Zangxiu dog grows this big, how can it hurt people?” He lifted his hands and gestured a length.

“Would it only grow to the size of a palm? I was indeed worrying too much. I have never seen a Zangxiu dog, so I didn’t know this. I just spoke rashly, please forgive me, Your Highness.” The palace maid explained in a low voice.

The Seventh Prince ignored her and just picked up the puppy and said softly, “It’s time to take a bath. Are you afraid of water?”

You Shu was very dirty and had long wanted to wash himself, so he barked twice. With outsiders around, he won’t act too smart, lest he be regarded as a monster.

“It seems that you are not afraid of water.” The Seventh Prince actually understood and slowly put the puppy into the copper basin, holding its belly with one hand and gently rubbing the fur with the other hand. He was worried about choking it, so he occasionally scraped the water from its nose and eyelids with his fingertips.

You Shu had never been served like this by his master before, feeling very fresh and interesting. He barked and paddled the water with his four paws. 

After becoming smaller, the objects in sight are also very different from before. Just like this copper basin, it doesn’t look very big at first glance, but after getting inside it, it feels like a big swimming pool. He can swim freely in different ways like butterfly stroke, backstroke, or freestyle.

“It can swim at such a young age, it’s really amazing.” The Seventh Prince slowly let go of the puppy, but his hands remained suspended above its head to prevent any accidents. He was fascinated by the puppy’s ever-changing swimming style, and his cold and lifeless heart slowly became warm, bursting with joy.

The little eunuch said flatteringly, “Dogs can swim, which is innate. But the young master is only four months old and he can swim so well, which is really rare.”

“It is very intelligent and has a round head and a cute brain. Have you ever seen a cuter puppy than this?” The Seventh Prince’s face was full of pride, but his voice was a bit stern. If the other party answers yes, he will definitely be furious. His attitude towards his puppy is not like that of a pet, but more like his own children, protecting it tightly.

The little eunuch was very aware of the situation and quickly shook his head, saying that he had never seen a more beautiful and cuter puppy. Not to mention in Dayan, even in the whole world, it was a rare and top-notch puppy.

Listening to the words, the Seventh Prince was very satisfied. When he saw the puppy swimming towards him with its tail wagging, he quickly reached out to hug it and ordered the palace maid to immediately get blankets, combs, and other items, as well as put a few more braziers.  

You Shu obediently allowed his master to play, raising his head when asked, raising his paws when asked. He would also look at the gaps and bite his master’s fingertips a few times. The strength was very light, but he just liked to hold the fingertips in his mouth.

“Are you still not weaned?” The Seventh Prince couldn’t bear to pull back his fingers and could only smile helplessly.

After his fur was all dried up, You Shu felt extremely fluffy, and ran around with a gust of wind, as if he could float into the sky. In the eyes of the Seventh Prince, he was just a round snowball, with two black eyes, a pink nose, and a small mouth. He looked very adorable, causing the Seventh Prince’s heart to beat wildly, and his ears felt hot. He hurriedly picked up the puppy and covered his face to hide his overly enthusiastic expression.

The breath that the master exhaled continuously brushed against his belly, making You Shu feel itchy and uncomfortable. He hummed softly and held his master’s big head, patting it. Then he felt his master nudge his belly with the tip of his nose, and he quickly started to struggle.

“This little thing is very ticklish.” The Seventh Prince raised his head and said firmly, his eyes brimming with joy.

“This servant doesn’t know, every dog has its own personality, and it needs to be explored slowly by the owner himself.” The little eunuch secretly wrote down this matter. Suddenly, as if thinking of something, he hurriedly added, “Your Highness, if you are worried about the puppy being dirty and messy, you can give it to this servant for training for a few days, so that the slave can teach it how to use the bucket when it needs to go to the toilet.”

“Does it have a dedicated toilet? Show it to this palace.” The Seventh Prince’s eyes sparkled, obviously very interested.

Only then You Shu realised that after becoming a puppy, he had no human rights. Not only did his master have to bathe him, but he also had to rely on his master for other needs. Thinking about that scene, he felt very ashamed! He raised his front paws to cover his eyes, feeling completely unbearable.

The Seventh Prince held the pink little paws in his hands and laughed loudly, “It understands what I am saying, it is so clever!”

The little eunuch and all the maids echoed incessantly, but in fact they thought this was just an illusion of His Highness the Seventh Prince. How could a puppy understand something so complicated unless he became a spirit? The little eunuch quickly brought a low toilet with a layer of gold mesh wire on top and fine sand on the bottom. The shape was also very unique; there was also a kennel made of fine velvet and cotton.

“There’s no need for the kennel anymore. It will sleep with this palace at night. The toilet bucket will be placed next to mine. This Palace will teach it personally. You have nothing to do here, so go down first.” The Seventh Prince waved his hand lightly.

The little eunuch was originally planning to show off his talents, but when he saw that His Highness Seventh Prince actually wants to do it himself, he couldn’t help but feel a little frustrated and went down with a drooping head. However, the chief palace maid refused to leave and reminded in a low voice, “Your Highness, this is your usual reading time. Why don’t you let Xiao Shunzi take the puppy down?”

“There is no need for you to interfere with the affairs of this Palace.” The Seventh Prince said calmly.

The chief palace maid had no choice but to lead everyone to go out. When You Shu saw that they didn’t even think about pushing his master to the desk or putting him on the bed, his anger burst out. He climbed on his master’s shoulders in two or three jumps, barking and trying to call them back.

“Stop shouting, they won’t come back.” The coldness in the Seventh Prince’s eyes faded away, and instead were filled with warmth. He turned his head and kissed its small mouth, comforting him, “I am not the useless person you imagined. I don’t need slaves to serve me. I can still do some things on my own.” Then he put his hands on the wheels and slowly moved towards the desk.

The wheelchair was made of wood, so no matter how exquisitely it was designed, it was inevitably a bit bulky. The master is only twelve or thirteen years old, right? How long has he been practising to be able to walk alone with a wheelchair? How are those people taking care of him? 

You Shu felt extremely distressed and pounced on his master’s face, kissing and licking, only hating his small size and not being able to give him a hug, let alone help him in any other way.

The Seventh Prince accepted his kindness and hugged him quickly to prevent him from falling off his shoulders. He tapped the tip of his nose and smiled, “Don’t be sad. It’s not that they don’t want to serve me. It’s that I don’t allow them to get close to me. Come, I’ll tell you a story.”

He turned his wheelchair to the desk and picked out a book called “The Analects of Confucius”. But then he felt that it was too serious, so he changed it to “The Classic of Mountains and Seas” and began to tell the story of ancient mythical beasts, “The stray looked like a dog, green, and was cannibalistic from the beginning. It means that there was a beast which looked like a dog, its body was green all over, and it ate people…” 

At this point, he paused slightly, realising that such stories are not suitable for puppies to listen to, so he quickly covered his ears and said in embarrassment,  “It’s the wrong one, let’s change it.”

Realising that his master was treating him like a baby, You Shu wanted to laugh, but then he thought that it was probably because he was too lonely, and his heart inevitably ached. He took his master’s thumb in his mouth, gently bit it a few times to express comfort, and then tapped the next few pages with his little paw, wanting to let him read.

“You still want to hear it? Alright, then.” The Seventh Prince didn’t think the puppy was too clever. When he picked it up, he didn’t regard it as a pet, but rather as a friend and companion, hoping that it would become even more clever. He picked out a few interesting stories to tell, and even picked up a brush to draw pictures, putting in a lot of effort.

After telling five or six stories, he suddenly caught a glimpse of the dictionary next to him and enthusiastically suggested, “You don’t have a name yet, how about I pick one for you? I can’t always call you a puppy.” As he spoke, he took out the dictionary and slowly flipped through it.

Thinking of that witch’s granddaughter calling himself “dog” repeatedly, You Shu felt angry. He jumped on the table and scratched the pages with his front paws, expressing his desire to name himself.  

The Seventh Prince understood and said with a smile, “Okay, I’ll turn the pages for you. If you see a word you like, you press it with your paw, okay?” In this way, he could estimate how clever the puppy is.

It can understand human language and can read and write. Could it be a monster? The Seventh Prince shook his head and smiled inwardly, thinking, ‘so what if it is a monster?’ As long as it can accompany him.

One person and one dog worked hard for a long time before they finally found the word “You Shu”, and then wrote it on the paper with a pen. The Seventh Prince recited silently, feeling restless, he muttered, “Just two words makes my heart surge. It seems that you deserve this name, and your fate with me is not shallow.”

Yes! We have been together for three lifetimes! You Shu wanted to speak, but all he uttered was a series of barks, so he lowered his head and snorted angrily.

The Seventh Prince smiled and picked him up, kissing him on the mouth. At this moment, the chief palace maid came in with a bowl of steaming medicine and said warmly, “Your Highness, it’s time to drink the medicine.”
