Chapter 96 (Part 2) – There’s A Beauty

Home/ There’s A Beauty / Chapter 96 (Part 2)

Before You Shu had time to read the notice carefully, he heard several passers-by discussing, “This dog has been lost for more than a month. If it was still alive, it should have been found long ago.”

“That’s right. Prince Duan sent the guards to search the imperial city for days, but even after scraping the ground three feet away, they still couldn’t find a single hair of that dog. If you ask me, I’m afraid it might have already ended up in the stomach of some beggar.”

“From the previous reward of ten thousand taels of gold to the current one hundred thousand taels of gold, if I find this dog, I won’t have to worry about food and clothing it in this life, not to mention the next life, and the next life after that!”

“Do you have that kind of luck? Nowadays, many people do nothing but burrow into the alleys every day just to find this dog. Some people even got a similar-looking one and sent it to Prince Duan’s Mansion, but the prince immediately saw through it and beat them half to death. Any beggar wandering on the street would be taken to the prison for interrogation. In just ten days, hundreds of people were arrested, and even poor people in rags were mistakenly arrested. It’s true that ‘it’s better to kill a thousand by mistake than to let go of one’. But so what? They still haven’t found it yet.”

“Is it worth it for a dog?”

“Who can understand the thoughts of a nobleman? In your eyes, it is a dog, but in other people’s hearts, it’s a precious treasure. At first, Prince Duan wandered the streets, sometimes shouting the dog’s name, sometimes blowing the whistle, and causing trouble. Later, he fell seriously ill due to excessive worry, and then he stopped. The person who lost the dog was his fiancée, the Young Miss of Cheng’en mansion, and now she has been forced to become a nun. Even Duke Cheng’en has been implicated. He has been impeached repeatedly and was discovered to be involved in many corruption cases. Now he is locked in the prison, and if the charges are proven, he will be beheaded. Isn’t it too tragic?”

“My dear mother! A dog actually brought down the whole Cheng’en Mansion. This is such a big deal!”

“It’s more than that! I heard that Prince Shuo and the Empress were also implicated. One was removed from his official post, and the other was confined to the palace…”

Before the person could finish his words, someone next to him interrupted, “You even know about the things inside the palace, aren’t you just bragging?”

“Of course I know, after all, my eldest nephew is working in the palace!”

You Shu had already finished reading the imperial notice and deliberately stood in the crowd for a long time in order to find out the news related to his master.

After listening for a while, he slowly squeezed out of the crowd and quickly headed towards Prince Duan’s Mansion. However, he forgot that he was no longer the master’s treasure and couldn’t just enter at will.

As soon as he got on the steps, he was pushed out by two guards with swords and halberds, warning fiercely, “No one is allowed to approach the palace!”

In the end, You Shu had no choice but to find a nearby inn to stay temporarily. He thought for a while, and his eyes suddenly lit up. He asked the old ghost to help him find a palm-sized pug from the streets, then he dyed it pure white with paint and trimmed the hair according to his original appearance.

He asked, “Does it look like me?”

“It looks about eight or nine points similar.” The old ghost nodded.

“Let’s go to Prince Duan’s Mansion to collect the reward.” You Shu put the puppy in his sleeves and quickly ran out.

The guard heard that he was here to deliver a dog and saw that the puppy in his arms was very similar to the portrait, so he immediately sent someone to report it.

The Seventh Prince hasn’t gone to court for a month, and Emperor Jing sends people to urge him every day, but he remains indifferent. The eunuch who came with the edict today saw that Prince Duan’s face was pale, his eyes were unfocused, and he looked like he had no hope for life, so he didn’t dare to force the other party and left.

As soon as he left, the Seventh Prince got off the bed and said in a deep voice, “Bring the crutches. This Prince wants to continue exercising.”

Xiao Shunzi took the crutches and whispered in a low voice, “Master, how can your body bear it if you exercise like this all day long? Doctor Deng has already said that your body is still in the recovery period, so too much exercise is not good for your health.”

The Seventh Prince didn’t answer. He first walked around the hall with his cane, then threw it away and walked out steadily step by step. When he came down the steps, he was a bit slow, but when he reached the lawn, he walked as fast as flying. No one could have imagined that a month ago, he was still a patient with paralyzed legs.

The palace was full of secret guards inside and outside. Anyone who wants to reveal the news will only have a dead end. Suddenly, a secret guard flew down from the treetop and arched his hand, “Master, someone in the front yard reported that the puppy was found.”

“Bring people in quickly! Go quickly!” The Seventh Prince’s voice trembled, and his face was filled with joy.

The secret guard didn’t dare to delay and immediately rushed to the front door to take people in. He disliked You Shu’s slow walking, so he directly carried him on his shoulders and climbed over the many courtyard walls, flying straight into the backyard.

You Shu, who was knocked upside down, finally squatted on the ground holding the puppy, unable to catch his breath for a long time.

The Seventh Prince only had eyes for the puppy You Shu was holding in his hands. At first glance, the white, small, and round ball actually looked like his beautiful treasure. He walked over quickly and carefully took the puppy, wanting to hold it up in front of him for a kiss and comfort. However, he met a pair of brown eyes that looked ignorant and unclear, lacking a lot of spiritual energy.

“This is not this Prince’s You Shu!” From extreme joy to the abyss of disappointment, his current mood could only be described as “thunderous”.

Without any mercy, he threw away the puppy, and upon seeing that his palms were covered in white paint, his eyes became even more ferocious, and he grabbed the person’s clothes and picked him up with force.

He was almost nine feet tall, very tall and big, while You Shu, who was only seven feet three inches tall, was immediately suspended in the air. You Shu’s neck was almost strangled and his cheeks turned red, unable to breathe.

“Cough, cough, cough, it’s me, master.” He kicked his legs and patted his master’s strong arm.

Just now, the young man was squatting and panting, and he only saw the top of the other party’s black hair. But now he raised his little face, revealing his facial features, making the furious Seventh Prince feel as if he was struck by lightning. These moderately thick willow-leaf eyebrows; these dark and moist eyes; the upturned nose and the small pink mouth; And the two small dimples that appear due to the uncomfortable pursed lips, are exactly the same as the portrait in the study.

The Seventh Prince immediately let go of his hand as if he was being burned by fire, and while hugging the young man’s slender waist, he patted his violently undulating chest and asked in a trembling voice, “Who are you?” He didn’t dare to shout, lest he make a mistake again, and once again feel the taste of falling from the clouds to hell.

“Master, I am You Shu!” You Shu finally managed to catch his breath and quickly grabbed his master’s sleeves, his tearful eyes filled with joy.

The Seventh Prince almost hugged him, but restrained himself at the last moment. He pushed the person away with difficulty, and with a slight wave of his hand, the guard brought him a chair.

After sitting down, he asked, “How can you prove that you are You Shu?” The surprise came so suddenly that he wanted to believe it, but didn’t dare to.

How to prove it? After racking his brains for a moment, You Shu began to recount every detail of his relationship with his master.

“You can definitely find out about these things from other people’s mouths. It doesn’t count.” The Seventh Prince crushed the armrest of the chair.

“Then what counts? I really am You Shu. Master, you even drew a portrait of me and hung it in the study.” You Shu became anxious and ran to his side, rubbing left and right.

The Seventh Prince’s body felt numb due to his rubbing, but he still hardened his heart, “I don’t know how many people have looked at that painting. Who knows if you are a spy sent into the house by some other people.”

The master has just punished Duke Cheng’en and brought down the Eldest Prince and the Empress. He is now on the forefront of a storm, so it is always right to be cautious. Thinking of this, You Shu’s frown slowly relaxed, and he walked up to his master with a sullen face. He stuck out half of his tongue, breathed out, and asked vaguely, “Do you think it looked very similar?”

Similar, very similar! His appearance as a human is actually not much different from that of a puppy. Even without that portrait, the Seventh Prince could recognize him at a glance. But as soon as he thought about this little villain hiding away for a whole month, he became so angry that he wanted to teach him a lesson.

“It’s not similar at all.” The Seventh Prince shook his head and sneered.

You Shu’s hopeful expression suddenly collapsed, but when he saw his master’s legs, his eyes suddenly lit up. He immediately squatted down and massaged his calves inch by inch, while also injecting the energy into the acupoints. Only the puppy knows about this kind of massage technique, so the master should believe him now.

How can a dog’s paws be compared with the slender fingers in front of him? Both the touch and visual sensation have been improved by several levels. The Seventh Prince stared at the fingertips that were as white as jade and as tender as water onions set off by the black fabric, and his thoughts slowly rose. As those fingers slowly pressed and rubbed to the top of his thighs, a fire was ignited in his lower abdomen.

“That’s enough, I believe you are You Shu.” In order to prevent making a fool of himself and leaving an impetuous impression of himself on You Shu, the Seventh Prince pulled him up with a hoarse voice.

You Shu immediately cheered and threw himself into his master’s arms without hesitation, kissing and licking his face, coating it with a layer of glistening saliva within a few moments. The old ghost was right, after being a dog for too long, some habits have become truly irreversible.

The poor Seventh Prince wanted to conceal his physical embarrassment, but now he felt even more uncomfortable, with veins popping out on his forehead. But he couldn’t bear to push him away, so he had to cross his long legs and hold the person on his knees, enjoying the long-lost kiss while laughing heartily.

Xiao Shunzi and others stood far away, unaware of what had happened just now. They thought that there would be another death in the mansion, but they didn’t expect their master and the other person to hug each other in the blink of an eye, and now they are even kissing. He hesitated for a moment before turning around, not daring to look anymore.

The Seventh Prince took the long lost treasure into his arms and kissed him several times, and then began to inquire about his previous movements during the last month.

You Shu had already planned that if the master had no memory, he would not tell the story of his previous lives. The master is a new individual in every life, and he should have the right to choose instead of being bound by the past. In every life, he(ys) will work hard to fight for his master, and then comply with fate. He(ys) will be lucky if he gains it, and if couldn’t, he will just look from far away and be satisfied. So he concealed certain parts and only said what he could.

The Seventh Prince sighed for a long time before saying, “So you are a human, but you were tricked by a witch. What about your family?”

“I have no family, and I have been wandering around the world without even a household registration.” This wasn’t a lie, as You Shu was originally a wandering soul from another world.

For some reason, the Seventh Prince secretly breathed a sigh of relief and said with a smile, “Then I will be your family in the future. Your household registration will be in Prince Duan’s Mansion, and I will send someone to the Yamen to handle it tomorrow.”

You Shu nodded and two small dimples appeared on his cheeks. The Seventh Prince immediately stretched out his fingertips and poked it lightly, feeling the soft and tender touch. Then he poked it again and laughed heartily. He had been waiting for this day for a long time, and it was almost the same as the scene in his dream. The only downside was that You Shu didn’t transform into a human in his arms, and he wasn’t naked either. However, there will always be opportunities in the future.

He held You Shu’s left hand, looked back and forth, and finally put it to his lips for a kiss as usual, jokingly saying, “No wonder your dog’s paws were pink, it turns out to be the case.”

His fingers were as soft as boneless, and his palms were tender and smooth, without any calluses at all, indicating that You Shu’s life experience is by no means as tragic as he described. But it doesn’t matter, as long as he is willing to come back, as long as he is willing to stay by his side forever, even if he is a spy sent by others, the Seventh Prince will recognize him.
