Chapter 57 (Part 2) – There’s A Beauty

Home/ There’s A Beauty / Chapter 57 (Part 2)

The two stared at each other in silence, with a strong warmth flowing from their eyes. This scene was very warm and touching, but it also hurt Princess Mingzhu’s heart and lungs. She swept down the copper stove on the table, crying and begging that the imperial brother must drive Zhao Youshu away, replace him with Zhao Yusong, and restore his qualification for the imperial examination.

As the Ninth Prince leaned back, You Shu immediately served a cup of hot tea. The two looked at each other, giggling silently, and then looked at Princess Mingzhu together.

“If you knew who Zhao Yusong was in bed with last night, maybe you wouldn’t have made such a scene.” The Ninth Prince said slowly.

You Shu immediately buried his head down, with the tips of his ears turning red little by little. The master really knew that I had cut off that monster’s tongue, but he took my feelings into account and pretended not to know, that’s great. By consoling himself like this, he immediately came back to life with full blood, and peeked at his master with shining eyes.

The Ninth Prince didn’t turn his face to look at him, but held his hand, and squeezed it gently.

Princess Mingzhu was in shock and didn’t pay attention to their ambiguous behaviour, she asked, “Whose bed was he in?”

“Zou Shi, his second brother Zhao Yulin’s new concubine.”

“Impossible! You are lying to me! Did he tell you? Well, you actually ran to Imperial Brother to slander Yusong, are you looking for death?” Princess Mingzhu suddenly stretched out her hand to pinch You Shu, and the razor sharp golden thread almost poked You Shu in the eye.

The Ninth Prince kicked her out without even thinking about it, and with his backhand, he pulled You Shu into his arms, while a lot of cold sweat broke out on his forehead. He thought that a weak woman could not pose a threat, but he didn’t expect this woman to be so vicious when she took action. The disgust in his heart grew stronger, and he ordered the guards to pull her out immediately.

Princess Mingzhu kept shouting even after being driven out, such as: “I will go to my father to report”, “I will not marry unless you apologise”, “You disregard family relationships” and so on. You Shu listened for a moment, then said worriedly, “Is she really determined to marry Zhao Yusong?”

“She can marry whoever she wants, what does that have to do with me?” The Ninth Prince pulled the young man into his arms and stole a kiss that tasted like glutinous rice cakes.

You Shu hastily sucked a mouthful of dragon essence, and then licked the silver thread off the corner of his master’s mouth. He thought these are good things that should not be wasted.

The Ninth Prince smiled softly, “You Shu, are you a dog?”

“Hmm.” You Shu nodded in confusion.

The Ninth Prince laughed even more happily, and joked, “No wonder you like to lick things so much, come on, lick again.” He pointed to his lips.

You Shu’s cheeks flushed, and only then did he realise that his master was teasing himself. He hurriedly struggled to escape from his arms, but his waist was tightly being held and then he was thrown onto the soft couch, where he was rubbed and loved for a long time. The two only stopped kissing when they were out of breath. You Shu still remembered the previous incident and asked, “You really don’t care about Princess Mingzhu? Zhao Yusong is not a good match.”

“She won’t listen to what I say. She hasn’t been close to me since she was a child, including my sixth brother and queen mother. Because I was determined to be the reincarnation of Emperor Zongsheng from birth, they treated me as an outsider, and then I was sent to the Nurturing temple, where my father personally taught me everything, and I didn’t see them for a year. One year, my mother got angry with my father’s beloved concubine, so she came to see me secretly, and wanted me to help her gain favour with father, but I didn’t agree, so she said, ‘It would’ve been better if I never gave birth to a son like you’. Another year, my sixth brother heard that I couldn’t sleep at night, so he put a chronic poison in my incense that would make people unable to sleep. But how can these cheap tricks work on me? Therefore, I quickly found out the truth and wanted to report it to my father. However, my mother, who hadn’t seen me for five or six years, came to me again and asked me to help Sixth Brother hide it. I finally agreed, but since then, I have no contact with them. They never set foot in my Eastern Palace on weekdays, unless there is a request from me.”

The Ninth Prince said these words very lightly, but You Shu thought about it a little, and felt a lot of sadness in these words. It turned out that the master’s life was not as smooth as he imagined. He was rejected by his biological mother, his own brother tried to murder him, but he still had to help him hide it. He must be very sad, right? Wouldn’t it be more difficult for him to sleep at night?

Thinking of this, You Shu felt like his heart was being stabbed with a knife. He immediately hugged his master, and kissed his forehead, eyelids, and the tip of his nose, and poured the most tender love into his kisses one after another. The Ninth Prince hugged him tightly with his backhand, and sighed with satisfaction in his heart: Yes, that’s it, cherish me more like this.

After two lifetimes, he finally realised a truth that the most appropriate way to win over You Shu is not to be strong, calm and considerate in everything, but to let him know how many hardships you have experienced and how much pain you have suffered. Because if you don’t let him know, he will never understand. His mind will never think about these overly complicated problems.

However, once he realises it, he will think of you everywhere and always consider you in his heart. His temperament is like a puppy who faithfully protects his master. He needs to be trained well to deepen the feelings, and you need to say everything clearly for him to fully understand.

Such a treasure is the most torturous and fascinating, no wonder I have fallen into his hands for two lifetimes. The Ninth Prince tilted his head and kissed the young man’s ear, smiling tenderly.

The Ninth Prince also behaved very calmly today. He attended court meetings, took classes, and practised martial arts, with a smile on his face all the time, and his words were very gentle and polite. In the evening, when it was time to go back, he led a horse and walked up to the boy, “Can you ride a horse?”

You Shu wanted to nod at first, but then he remembered his master’s disappointed expression when he learnt the calligraphy font in the first go, so he shook his head quickly, and put his hands behind his back, feeling anxious. When lying to the master, the guilt in his heart was very difficult to overcome, and he must try his best to conceal it.

However, he thought he had covered it up very well, but he couldn’t control his guilty expression, not to mention that he had already nodded, but then started to shake his head violently, so even a fool would be able to see it. Xue Wangjing quickly turned his back and suppressed his laughter, secretly thinking that His Highness is very lucky to have found such a treasure.

The Ninth Prince pressed his fist to his lips and coughed slightly. Not only did he know that You Shu was lying, but he could also guess why he was lying. This little thing clearly knows how to ride a horse, but he is telling me he can’t, isn’t it just because he wants me to hug him? Forget it, if he likes to be clingy, then let him be clingy. Anyway, he never wants to be separated in this life.

Thinking of this, the Ninth Prince raised his eyebrows and his heart was filled with joy. He grabbed the young man’s slender waist with both hands, lifted him onto the horse’s back, and then turned himself over to hug him.

Previously, when You Shu was learning how to ride a horse, he was often held by his master like this, and it became a habit. As soon as his back touched the warm chest, he moved his buttocks and shrank into his arms, showing a strong attachment. Seeing this, the Ninth Prince became even more happy, he held the reins with one hand and tightened his slender waist with the other, galloping away. He was worried that running too fast would shorten the time of this embrace, so he wandered around aimlessly for a while.

They wandered around until the sunset and when the sky was getting dark, they finally arrived at Zhao’s Mansion.

“Take this for self-defence.” The Ninth Prince took out a half foot long wooden box from his saddle bag.

You Shu opened it and saw that it was a black dagger with only vermillion Sanskrit engraved on the handle and the body. Although it was very rusty and dull, it exuded a very powerful and restrained aura. This kind of pressure can’t be perceived by ordinary people, unless there are spiritual beings like You Shu, or demons and ghosts who are more sensitive to Qi.

“What is this?” He stroked it fondly.

“This is the spiritual weapon bestowed to Emperor Zongsheng by the Living Buddha of Wu Sicang, it’s called ‘zhu mo’(to punish demons). The world has been a bit unstable recently, so take it to defend yourself.” Thinking of Zou Shi’s strange and terrifying death, the Ninth Prince’s eyes revealed a trace of worry. Even his hidden guards couldn’t find out who caused the incident, indicating that the person behind it has extraordinary strength.

You Shu was in need of such a divine weapon, so he gladly accepted it. He hung the dagger on his waist and touched it after walking for a while. He liked it very much. When he arrived at the dining room, he saw Mrs. Wang, who was staring at himself with a worried expression on her face.

“Mom, what’s wrong with you?” He walked over and asked.

“Son, sit down quickly, dinner will be here soon.” Mrs. Wang pulled him to sit next to her, and whispered, “Did the Ninth Prince send you back? You two rode together on a horse, and spent half an hour wandering around the street?”

You Shu nodded obediently, and reached out to take the pastry on the table.

Mrs. Wang’s face collapsed, as if she was about to cry, but she couldn’t bear to scold her son, so she forced a smile and told him to eat less cake and wait for dinner. After sitting stiffly for a while, she winked at the maid who was standing at the side, who nodded slightly, and went out. Soon, she led a beautiful girl in.

Before Mrs. Wang could speak, You Shu had put down the pastry and was looking over with burning eyes.

Mrs. Wang, who had never seen her son pay attention to any woman, was amused, and hurriedly introduced, “This is the handmaiden chosen by your mother for you. She is fifteen years old and her name is Tao Hong. She will serve you in your room from now on. You have already grown up, it’s time for you to become sensible.”

You Shu nodded, but he didn’t hear Mrs.Wang’s words. All his attention was drawn to this girl. No, it was a mistake to use the term ‘girl’, it was clearly the monster that was supposed to be dead after being crushed by two Thunderbolt Talismans last night! How did it survive after its head and heart were all crushed into minced meat?

There were turbulent waves in You Shu’s heart, but he didn’t show any expression on his face. If he can kill it once, then he can kill it a second time, third time, or fourth time. With more experience, he can always find a way to kill it completely. But for now, let’s kill it again for the third time.

Thinking of this, You Shu withdrew his gaze, lowered his head, and used his spiritual strength to make himself blush, making it seem as if he was in love but was ashamed to express it. Mrs. Wang was very happy to see this scene, and quickly asked Tao Hong to come forward to serve dinner. You Shu ate whatever she served and peeked at her face from time to time.

Tao Hong also seemed very shy, she didn’t dare to look at the young master at all, and backed up a few steps in fright when she accidentally touched the back of his hand. Leaving aside its stench, at this moment, You Shu finally caught a flaw in its eyes, and it turned out that she wasn’t acting just now, but was really scared. It seems that after being killed by the same person twice in a row, even an advanced monster will inevitably feel fear.
