Home/ Stopping the Handsome and Tragic Male Lead After 404/ Chapter 42 (Part 1)
Before the apocalypse broke out, Shao Yan was a firefighter, and Fu Xuzhou was a top medical student. A mistake in a laboratory experiment accidentally caused a fire, and Fu Xuzhou was trapped inside. At that time, it was Shao Yan who rushed in and carried the unconscious Fu Xuzhou to escape death.
In the midst of despair, it was impossible not to be impressed by the appearance of such a figure in a daze.
This was the initial good impression. Later, Fu Xuzhou wanted to treat Shao Yan to dinner in order to thank him, but the other party refused, saying that he was just working and there was no need for this.
After a while, the two of them got in touch. Fu Xuzhou had a cold temperament and wasn’t very good at socializing with people. He only focused on his research and studies to treat the patients. Because he was talented and quiet, he didn’t have many friends, but Shao Yan’s personality was completely opposite to him. He was a lively and cheerful person like the sun, anyone can get along with him, trust him, be his good brother. Everyone in the circle of life, from old to young, he can be friends with anyone. The only disadvantage is that he was not good at studying, so he especially admired Fu Xuzhou, a highly educated and outstanding student.
Gradually, Fu Xuzhou developed different feelings for Shao Yan. At first he thought he was gay, after all, he had never been in love, but in fact, he found that he didn’t like men, but just happened to be attracted to Shao Yan. In the end, unable to extricate himself, he couldn’t help but fall in love with him.
Fu Xuzhou was born into a scholarly family, and he had to muster up a lot of courage to face his own feelings, but the next step was the most difficult for him. Although Shao Yan has never been in a romantic relationship, anyone with a discerning eye would know that he was an absolute straight man of steel. When facing girls, he would always blush, and he especially liked small and cute types, and whenever he got drunk, he would shout for sweet love. Anyway, there was no trace of him liking other men.
Just at this time, Fu Xuzhou had a conflict with the people in his dormitory because of a thesis paper, and they ended up fighting. Because he usually only focused on studying and working, and didn’t join small groups, the whole dormitory gathered together and drove him out.
Shao Yan rushed to the hospital and saw that Fu Xuzhou’s head was broken, and he almost got into a fight with his roommate again.
In the end, both Fu Xuzhou and his roommate were punished, and Shao Yan directly suggested that he should move out and share the rent with him. It happened that Fu Xuzhou was injured, and Shao Yan could still take care of him.
This was exactly what Fu Xuzhou wanted, and he moved happily, starting his life as Shao Yan’s roommate.
For Fu Xuzhou, that year was both heaven and hell. Happiness was being able to spend time with his beloved, but enduring his painful emotions, especially when living together was similar to hell.
On the other hand, he also realized that Shao Yan was really straight. Even if he treated Fu Xuzhou well, Shao Yan’s thoughts weren’t crooked. There was no possible signal at all, so Fu Xuzhou really couldn’t speak, but his feelings for Shao Yan grew day by day, and his cup was almost full.
Because of Shao Yan’s popularity, the blind dates have never stopped, but most of them were due to his work and family conditions. However, there were always one or two girls who left an impression on Shao Yan, and he wanted to actively pursue them.
Fu Xuzhou felt that he couldn’t hold on anymore, and wanted to confess his love quickly to relieve his emotions.
At this moment, his younger sister Fu Miao was admitted to a graduate school in their city and also came over.
Fu Miao was a very sensitive girl. She noticed that whenever her brother talked to her, he mentioned Shao Yan quite often, causing her to feel that something was wrong.
At that time, Fu Miao’s dormitory was not ready yet, so she went to live in their shared house temporarily.
Fu Miao lived in Fu Xuzhou’s room, and Fu Xuzhou was dragged by Shao Yan to his own room to sleep together.
As a bystander, Fu Miao could see the signs more clearly than the parties involved, and since then, she understood Fu Xuzhou’s thoughts.
Fu Xuzhou could no longer bear the torment of sharing the same bed with Shao Yan. That day, he finally made up his mind to confess his love, so he told Fu Miao to go out to play and come back at night.
He carefully made all the arrangements, and everything fell into Fu Miao’s eyes.
Shao Yan, who was supposed to come back from work, didn’t get home for dinner on time. Fu Xuzhou couldn’t get in touch and was worried that the other party might have been called for an urgent task again, so he paid attention to the fire news, and even called Shao Yan’s unit.
But he couldn’t find any news, so he could only sit at home and wait alone.
Until the evening, Shao Yan and Fu Miao came back together.
Fu Miao smiled and said to him, “Brother, I have fallen in love with Shao Yan, and I confessed to him today. I didn’t tell you in advance, but don’t be angry with me. I’m waiting for Shao Yan’s reply. Please don’t interfere with his choice.”
Fu Xuzhou froze at the door for a moment.
Shao Yan rubbed his head in embarrassment, “Xuzhou, don’t be angry, I know your sister is very precious to you, and I really didn’t do anything behind your back, Miaomiao only told me today. I didn’t know she fell in love with me so deeply, and I also want to think seriously before answering her.”
But Shao Yan’s shy look at Fu Miao has already explained the answer. He was just worried about whether his good brother would be angry. Originally, Shao Yan did not look at Fu Miao in a different way, only as a younger sister, but after Fu Miao confessed, everything changed, from a younger sister to a woman.
Shao Yan was a straight man, and Fu Miao happened to be the type Shao Yan liked, and during the time she was here, she was very kind and friendly to him, and she also admired his profession very much. It was impossible not to be tempted.
Everything seemed like a big joke.
At that moment, Fu Xuzhou’s face turned pale and he almost vomited.
But he still pulled out a smiling face, “If you like each other, how can I interfere? It’s good if you are happy together.”
Since then, Shao Yan and Fu Miao have been in a formal relationship, and the relationship between the two was really good. Even if there was a quarrel, as long as they ask Fu Xuzhou to mediate, they would quickly reconcile, so they never broke up, and the relationship between the two got better. Fu Miao also sympathized with Fu Xuzhou and wanted to introduce someone to him.
In this situation, Fu Xuzhou couldn’t escape. Shao Yan wanted to share the rent with him, and it was also convenient to take care of Miaomiao if they lived together. Miaomiao was in the same city with him, and his parents wanted him to take care of Miaomiao so as not to have any problems before marriage, so he could only live together with them.
He was always vigilant and kept a distance, even avoiding the intimacy between brothers, because he was afraid of being found out, afraid of destroying his sister’s happiness, and afraid that Shao Yan would find him disgusting.
He spent two years of his life in this unbearable hell.
After Fu Miao graduated from school, the two of them got married. Fu Xuzhou felt that he could finally be free and stay away from their life, but in the first year of marriage, the apocalypse broke out.
Everyone had to gather to escape and live together. Others envied them for staying together and working as a family, only Fu Xuzhou was bleeding every day, wanting to escape.
Until the blood moon tragedy at the eastern base, everything changed.
When they fled to the aquarium, they still maintained the basic stability, but three years later, Fu Miao couldn’t stay any longer, and insisted on Fu Xuzhou giving up everything and going back to the base to live. Fu Miao thought they made a mistake from the beginning and they shouldn’t have done all this for a zombie. Shao Yan was already dead, and her brother could only live well by letting go of his obsession.
At that time, Fu Xuzhou felt that there was something wrong with what Fu Miao said, thinking that Fu Miao might have seen his strange feelings for Shao Yan. Even though he didn’t do anything and was only focused on doing experiments, Fu Miao still discovered it, but he didn’t expect his sister to know everything from the beginning.
In the end, he let his sister go to start a new life of her own, but it didn’t occur to him that she still wanted to take him with her.
…..
After finishing everything, Fu Xuzhou stood up, walked up to Shao Yan, and took off his mask. At this time, Shao Yan didn’t go crazy, but just stared blankly ahead.
“Should I really set you free? You have been trapped here all this time because of my obsession, right? Miaomiao hopes that both of us will be free, but why… I can’t do it.”
Probably because he was really drunk, probably because he knew that Shao Yan in front of him could neither hear nor understand anything.
Fu Xuzhou held back his tears, but still couldn’t stop sobbing: “I’m sorry…I’m sorry, I never wanted to be your brother from the beginning, I hate you for being my brother-in-law. Perhaps Miaomiao is right, I am selfish and want to keep you, thinking that it’s the end of the world, thinking that if Miaomiao doesn’t want you, I will have a chance. Even if you turned into a zombie, I don’t want to give up the chance to be with you. I… I am just like Miaomiao said, disgusting and a pervert, but I…”
Fu Xuzhou couldn’t continue speaking, covered his face, and knelt down in front of Shao Yan weakly, looking embarrassed.
“But I… really like you, I like you so much, I want to get rid of this feeling, but my heart is very disobedient, more and more, I really can’t hold on anymore. I’m sorry… Shao Yan, you were clearly sincere to me, but I have been deceiving you all this time, sorry… please forgive me.”
Fu Xuzhou had a complete emotional breakdown, and Shi Qin was a person who gets easily affected with other people’s emotions. From the beginning, he felt heartbroken and now his nose was almost sore. He wanted to step forward to comfort him, but he, a love novice, what qualifications does he have to say a word of comfort?
This relationship has no beginning, and there will be no response. They missed it from the very beginning, so Fu Xuzhou could only carry it alone. If there was no apocalypse, he may leave and find a new world to start a new life. Then perhaps one day he will forget Shao Yan, but God didn’t give him this chance, and this one-sided relationship became too entangled.
Fu Xuzhou wept silently, trembling uncontrollably.
Suddenly, a roar of a zombie sounded from above, and Shao Yan’s calm period passed.
T/N: This Fu Miao is too disgusting.

Yep. Totally disgusting. She doesn’t even love Shao Yan, she trap 1 good man in loveless marriage and purposely make her brother life a living hell. Hope she die painfully 🙁
