Chapter 32 – We’re All Especially Sympathizing With That Man

Home/ We’re All Especially Sympathizing With That Man/ Chapter 32

After sitting up from Yan Jingxi’s arms, Yuan Zhan knelt down on the sofa, laughing back and forth, not stopping until Yan Jingxi regained his strength and stared at him.

Yuan Zhan stretched out his hand to hook Yan Jingxi’s chin, acting as a hooligan molesting a pretty little girl: “Ah, I didn’t hit it hard, it won’t swell up, right?”

Yan Jingxi patted Yuan Zhan’s troublemaking paw away: “I’ll just rub some medicated oil.” He got up and went to look for the first-aid box.

Yuan Zhan just lay back on the sofa and watched him search for the first-aid box. But Yan Jingxi searched all over the place and couldn’t find it, he turned to look at Yuan Zhan who was taking pleasure in other people’s misfortune.

“Where is the first-aid box?”

“There.” Yuan Zhan pointed to the small drawer below the TV cabinet, “Do you want me to help you?”

Yan Jingxi actually got a bit hurt from the bump, and was afraid that it would swell up tomorrow, so he wanted to refuse, but finally nodded: “Okay.” He thought if it got swollen tomorrow, it wouldn’t look good.

“Then come here and I’ll rub it for you.” Yuan Zhan began to twist his neck, clasped his hands together, and stretched his body to loosen his muscles and bones.

Yan Jingxi: “…” What is he doing? Why does he look as if he is about to fight someone? It’s just rubbing some medicated oil on his bruised chin.

Yuan Zhan’s eyes seem to lit up with stars: “Come here.”

Yan Jingxi hesitated whether to hand over the oil in his hand, feeling that it would be very painful in the next moment.

Grabbing the medicated oil from Yan Jingxi’s hand, Yuan Zhan pushed him onto the sofa, and told him to lie down: “Lie down, I’m about to start.”

Yan Jingxi: “Okay, come on.” There was a spirit of dying heroically in his voice.

Then, Yan Jingxi “enjoyed” Yuan Zhan’s special service, making sounds that he couldn’t believe came from his mouth.

Yan Jingxi: “Hmm.”

Yan Jingxi: “Hiss.”

Yan Jingxi: “Be gentle.”

Yan Jingxi: “Slow down.”

Yan Jingxi: “Ahh!”

Yan Jingxi: “…” Gritting his teeth, he endured, even ignoring the fact that Yuan Zhan’s breath was all over him.

By the time Yuan Zhan finished rubbing the oil, Yan Jingxi felt as if he had lost half of his life.

“It’s quite late, let’s rest.” Yan Jingxi said while clutching his jaw, which felt even more painful than before.

“Okay.” Yuan Zhan quickly agreed. He jumped off the sofa and put on his slippers, “Good night.”

The two went back to their rooms upstairs one after the other.

Yan Jingxi’s jaw was in so much pain and he almost died after being rubbed by Yuan Zhan’s evil palms.

Yuan Zhan, who quickly closed the door, could hardly hold back his laughter. After entering the room, he buried his face in the pillow and burst into laughter.

After a while, he got up and saved the recording he had just made in the hall into the laptop, flashing a charming smile.

How could Yan Jingxi believe that he would rub oil on his bruise obediently? The bruise on his chin would probably look even more miserable.

Night passed without words.

When the distant bell rang in the early morning, the aunt was still cooking breakfast in the kitchen.

The sound of the doorbell of the villa used to be clear but not harsh. After Yuan Zhan came here, he changed it to the current brisk music and felt much more comfortable.

Yuan Zhan yawned and held the handrail as he walked down the stairs. As he looked around, he didn’t see Yan Jingxi who usually sits on the sofa everyday reading the newspaper or watching the morning news.

Yuan Zhan stretched his waist and asked: “Auntie, hasn’t Yan Jingxi gotten up yet?”

Stirring the freshly cooked porridge, she said: “I didn’t see Mr. Yan coming down, did he oversleep?”

Yuan Zhan also shook his head, indicating that he doesn’t know. The aunt knew that there is not much affection between husband and wife. From the fact that they sleep in separate rooms, it could be seen that their marriage was in name only, which was very regrettable.

Just as the two of them were talking, they heard footsteps in the stairwell, and the doorbell happened to ring at this time. The aunt was busy with work, so Yuan Zhan went to open the door himself.

As Yuan Zhan opened the door, he saw a tall man wearing black framed glasses, dressed in an armani shirt with a fashionable hairstyle.

Although Yuan Zhan wasn’t very tall, he wasn’t too short either. But the man in front of him was a head taller than him, at least 1.95 meters.

Yuan Zhan: “You are?”

The tall man said: “Hello, I made an appointment with Mr. Yan to come here today for an examination. Are you Mr. Yan’s lover?”

“Yes.” Well, it may not have reached the point of “lover” yet, but it will soon be. Yuan Zhan replied with a smile, “Please come in.”

As soon as the tall man entered the room, he noticed Yan Jingxi wearing a mask, and his first reaction was whether he had caught a cold.

“Mr. Yan, did you catch a cold?”

Yan Jingxi shook his head and looked at Yuan Zhan, who had an innocent expression on his face. He said to the tall man, “No, it’s just that the face is not very suitable for meeting people.”

He briefly introduced the tall doctor to Yuan Zhan. His name was Fu Chu, and he was a well-known doctor in the industry.

Yan Jingxi didn’t dare to let Yuan Zhan know about the doctor’s specialties.

However, Yuan Zhan had already figured out a way to deal with it, and didn’t show any extra curiosity. Instead, he enthusiastically asked the doctor if he had already eaten breakfast.

Fu Chu said: “Not yet. I live quite far from here, so I wanted to miss the morning rush hour and drive out early. I didn’t have the time to cook breakfast for myself.”

Yuan Zhan sighed: “It’s great that Doctor Fu can still get up early and make breakfast for himself.”

The fact that Fu Chu didn’t eat breakfast was already planned beforehand. He had discussed with Yan Jingxi that he needed to observe Yuan Zhan from all aspects.

Without knowing, Yuan Zhan will act more naturally and it will be easier to observe whether his condition is getting worse or progressing towards a positive direction.

Yuan Zhan treated Fu Chu as an ordinary guest.

When Yan Jingxi took off his mask to eat breakfast, Yuan Zhan could hardly hold back his laughter and almost ended up exposing his prank of last night.

He really didn’t do it on purpose.

When Fu Chu saw Yan Jingxi’s chin, he was so surprised that he almost twisted his foot on the ground: “Mr. Yan, why is your chin so swollen? Did you get stung by a bee?”

Yan Jingxi took a deep breath and decided not to mention what happened last night. Looking back, he really wanted to dig a hole in the ground to hide himself.

He gave Fu Chu a “don’t ask” look and said, “It’s nothing, does Doctor Fu like chinese style breakfast or western style?”

Fu Chu smiled and said, “I prefer western style more.”

Yan Jingxi: “What a coincidence, what we are eating today is Chinese style. We don’t usually eat western style, and Yuan Zhan doesn’t like the taste of fresh milk.

Fu Chu: “…”

With the presence of Fu Chu, the usually quiet morning has a slightly different flavor.

Yuan Zhan has a different kind of enthusiasm for Fu Chu than ordinary people, this is the impression Yan Jingxi got.

As long as Fu Chu asked a question, Yuan Zhan would answer it without hesitation. Whether it was Yan Jingxi or Dr. Fu, they couldn’t tell if there was anything wrong with him, everything looked fine. Yuan Zhan seemed like a perfectly normal person, unlike someone with so many twists and turns, nor like a depressed patient.

After breakfast, Fu Chu first pretended to give Yan Jingxi a full checkup, and then turned to Yuan Zhan.

Fu Chu and Yuan Zhan entered the study alone.

As a psychiatrist, Fu Chu didn’t think Yuan Zhan was suffering from depression, let alone severe depression.

He is also very puzzled.

The information provided by Mr. Yan is completely inconsistent with the Yuan Zhan he saw today. He thinks that they are two different people. Could it be that Yuan Zhan actually has a hidden dual personality? But that’s also impossible. He had seen the name of the medicine in the picture sent by Mr. Yan, which was a medication for treating depression.

“Doctor Fu, do you need to do some extra tests?” Yuan Zhan smiled with a good attitude.

Fu Chu gave Yuan Zhan an ordinary checkup symbolically with the several instruments he brought. The last examination on the list was a conversation.

He made some notes while asking the questions, and based on the answers, it would be easy to confirm whether the respondent was suffering from depression.

Yuan Zhan fully cooperated with the examination, answering each of Fu Chu’s questions.

After half an hour, Fu Chu developed a sense of distrust towards Yan Jingxi in his heart.

When Fu Chu was observing Yuan Zhan, Yuan Zhan was also observing his facial expressions. Psychiatrists like to play various psychological tactics with people, but Fu Chu in front of him didn’t know that Yuan Zhan was also doing the same with him. No, it should be said that Yuan Zhan was actually showing him the real Yuan Zhan, a Yuan Zhan from another world. Therefore, Dr. Fu couldn’t find any traces of depression in him.

Yuan Zhan did not want more people to participate in his war with Yan Jingxi, his time was very precious.

Fu Chu is an expert in psychology. Perhaps if Yan Jingxi had invited him for the original owner, there would’ve been no suicide and he wouldn’t have come here. It is meaningless to ask Fu Chu to examine him now.

Yuan Zhan gave Fu Chu a faint smile, his eyes were unpredictable as he said: “Doctor Fu, why did you become a doctor?”

While writing, Dr. Fu said, “I hope there will be no more sick people in the world.”

Yuan Zhan said, “I’m not sick.”

Fu Chu felt a bit regretful just now, but for some reason Yuan Zhan’s words hit his spot. He shook his head and said, “Mr. Yuan is very healthy and not sick, it’s just that you often lower your head to play with your phone, and your spine is a little deformed. However, it can be corrected and you’ll be fine.”

That’s right, it’s a good thing if the person is not sick. Isn’t that why he became a doctor in the first place?

Fu Chu left, and Yuan Zhan personally sent him out.

Turning around, he saw Yan Jingxi standing by the window, wearing a mask.

Yuan Zhan put away the smile on his face, and strode towards Yan Jingxi with a sullen face.

Yan Jingxi also wanted to inquire about the examination performed by Dr. Fu. But before he could say anything, he saw the angry Yuan Zhan, who grabbed him by the collar and pulled him towards himself, looking him in the eyes.

Yuan Zhan: “Yan Jingxi, what do you mean?”

Yan Jingxi: “What’s wrong?”

Yuan Zhan: “Do you think I’m stupid? Do you think I don’t know what kind of illness that doctor is testing for by asking those questions? You want to identify me as a crazy person and send me to a mental hospital?”

Yan Jingxi didn’t like the current posture. He wanted to push Yuan Zhan’s hand away, but found that he was pulling so tightly that he couldn’t push it away for a moment.

He simply took the opportunity to confess: “I already know you have depression, and your psychiatrist is Guan Shuyu.”

Yuan Zhan suddenly let go of the hand that was holding the other party’s collar, and a helpless expression flashed across his face. Suddenly, he chuckled softly, with a sad smile on his face: “Yes, I just have depression, so what?”

Yan Jingxi seemed to have made a decision: “I have talked with Guan Shuyu and consulted with him. Your depression is caused by me. As long as it is within a reasonable range, I can cooperate with your treatment.”

However, Yuan Zhan took two steps back, and the sadness on his face disappeared.

He asked Yan Jingxi with a sarcastic expression: “Oh, so are you going to pretend to be in love with me to cooperate with my treatment plan?”

Yan Jingxi: “I…” This is impossible, he has always loved Bai Xiaoguang, and he can’t pretend to be in love with another person.

However, when the words of refusal came to his lips, he couldn’t say them.
