Chapter 48 (Part 1) – There’s A Beauty

Home/ There’s A Beauty / Chapter 48 (Part 1)

“How, how could it be me?” Everyone else knew that Xue Wangjing was joking, but You Shu, who came from six hundred years ago, took it seriously, pointing at himself while taking two steps back, with a tense and guarded expression.

Fortunately, the others didn’t see his gaffe, and laughed, “Isn’t it you? Your parents gave you a good name, and it’s exactly the same as Emperor Zhongsheng’s sweetheart. Why? Don’t you know anything about these rumors? It’s too ignorant!”

It was only then that You Shu realized that no one in the world would know that he came from six hundred years ago except himself. That is to say, the sweetheart of Emperor Zongsheng named ‘You Shu’ in the rumors may actually be himself.

After a while, Xue Wangjing’s words confirmed his guess.

“I heard that this young man named You Shu was brought up by Emperor Zongsheng himself. Not only is his appearance peerless, but his talent is also unrivaled in the world. When he was fifteen or sixteen years old, Emperor Zongsheng’s love for him was deeply rooted in his heart, but he hesitated a few times because of the difference in their status. When he finally ascended to the throne, for some reason, his sweetheart left without saying goodbye, and never returned.” Xue Wangjing thought that You Shu, as rumored, is an ignorant young man who doesn’t know that this unofficial history is normally known by everyone, so he briefly explained it to him.

Someone next to him sighed, “About the reason why the young man left, there are actually many rumors, and they all say that Emperor Zongsheng’s first confidant, Zhao Chuan (Ah da), who was the commander of the imperial army at the time, was jealous of the young man, that’s why he forced him to leave.” Therefore, it was Zhao Chuan who saved the life of Emperor Zongsheng several times on the battlefield but he never received the important position that You Shu had in Emperor Zongsheng’s life, and ultimately died in a very desolate state. Emperor Zongsheng is worthy of being the leader of the world that even men are fascinated by him.

“However, even though he fell in love with that person, he could never find him again.” Another person sighed, “Even though he created such an unparalleled feat in his life as an emperor, he also lived his whole life with painstaking efforts and in silence. It is said that when he was dying, he was calling You shu’s name, looking at the direction of the city gate with his eyes open, no matter what, he couldn’t close them, even if several princes closed them repeatedly, they would still open in the next second, and in the end they couldn’t do anything, so they had to be bury him like that.”

Everyone knew this unofficial history in detail, and they couldn’t stop the chatterbox once it started, and they all explained it to You Shu, who didn’t know about it.

“Do you know why there was no curfew at that time, why didn’t they close the city gate? Because Emperor Zongsheng wanted You Shu to enter the city as soon as possible whenever he came back. That’s what the so-called ‘my city gate will always be open for you’, right?, The emperor was really domineering.”

“Also, at that time, there were portraits of You Shu posted on the gates of every city in the Ming Dynasty. Whenever they saw someone who looked similar to You Shu, the guards would immediately report it to Shangfeng, and Shangfeng would report it to the court. A vast imperial dynasty spanning nine major states and encompassing the territory of seven countries, it only took three days and nights for news to be transmitted to the ears of Emperor Zongsheng. This is really unimaginable now.

“Yes, I heard that in order to deliver the news, eight thousand-mile horses were rushed everyday.”

“Emperor Zongsheng’s seventeen personal conquests were not for devouring other countries, but because he received news about his sweetheart and wanted to go out to find it himself. In a great war, Ximan used someone who looked like You Shu to lure him into a life and death situation, and almost succeeded. It can be seen that he even risked his life for You Shu.”

“It wouldn’t be wrong to say that he is one of the most infatuated person in the world. If you ask me, the most likely reason why he wiped out the seven kingdoms and gathered the Kyushu is to facilitate the search for You Shu. You have to know that if You Shu ran to another country, no matter how powerful his methods are, he will not be able to find him.”

This point of view has been recognized by many people, and everyone sighed while drinking tea. It is said that heroes are ruthless, but this is wrong. Emperor Zongsheng lived up to his affection for You Shu and also the expectations of the people. However, after all, he was a bit unlucky, and he couldn’t find the one he loved until he died, and he didn’t know where the young man named You Shu went, and what happened to him.

You Shu was dumbfounded when he heard all this, and it took him a long time to come back to his senses, and he said confusedly: So it wasn’t the master who drove me away, but Ah Da made his own decision? It turns out that the master didn’t fear me or alienate me, but waited for me all his life? It turned out that the master was still calling my name when he was dying, because he was so unwilling that he couldn’t even close his eyes?

What did I misunderstand? What did I miss?

You Shu, as if struck by lightning, broke free from the arms of the Ninth Prince, and hurried to the window to check the few floor tiles repeatedly, imagining the scene of his master standing here, waiting for him to return. He was very anxious in his heart, so he couldn’t calm down when he walked around, and that’s why he tried to smooth out such hard rocks one by one.

Thinking of this, You Shu also tentatively walked back and forth on the floor tiles, and burst into tears at some point. How much he wished that time could be turned back, so that he could return to Shangjing six hundred years ago, enter through the city gate, and wave to his master. If he saw himself, he would definitely smile with the corners of his lips pulled, how handsome and gentle would that look be?

You Shu couldn’t imagine any more, he clenched his fist and pressed it against his chest, unable to breath for a long time. The most terrifying thing in the world is neither the unknown nor death, but the endless waiting. He has always felt the same as his master, so at this moment, he is almost suffocated by the pain of waiting in despair.

The Ninth Prince didn’t like to hear about the deeds of Emperor Zongsheng, but when he saw that the young man was interested, he didn’t stop him. Now, the young man suddenly started shedding tears, his cheeks were flushed, his chest heaved and his back was hunched, as if he was about to faint at any moment. He was immediately anxious, and hurried over to hug him and pat him.

“What’s wrong with you, You Shu? Do you feel uncomfortable somewhere? Sit down quickly and drink some water.”

He tried to help the young man to the table, but the young man grabbed his arm tightly and murmured, “I’m sorry, I didn’t know, I didn’t know…”

The Ninth Prince became more and more worried, and said in a low voice, “You don’t need to apologize to me, sit down first and rest for a while! Your face doesn’t look good.”

You Shu looked up at him with a blank expression, but more tears welled up in his eyes. He regretted that he left without meeting his master; he regretted not giving his master a little more trust. He regretted too many things, but six hundred years had already been wasted, and it is the reincarnation of the master, all the regrets are in the past, and there is no room for redemption.

Thinking of this, he couldn’t help feeling sad, and threw himself into his master’s arms and wept loudly, the sobbing sound made people’s eyes sore after listening to it. The Ninth Prince’s eyes were red and his heart ached, but because he had never comforted anyone, he didn’t know how to deal with it, and he didn’t know why the boy was crying so sadly.

Xue Wangjing said in embarrassment, “Young Master Zhao really has a soft heart, and he was moved to tears after hearing the story of Emperor Zongsheng.”

Someone said disapprovingly, “Why are you acting like a woman? You just start crying just because of little things!”

“Shut up! If you don’t know how to speak, get out of here!” The Ninth Prince was already in an irritable mood. Hearing this, his fingers cracked and he immediately became furious. If he hadn’t hugged the boy tightly, he would have already kicked the man down from Wangchuan tower and let his soul leave his body.

The man was startled, and quickly shrank his head and hid in the corner. Others also understood the status of the young man in His Highness Ninth Prince’s heart. If another man was crying inexplicably like a young man, His Highness the Ninth Prince would order his followers to gag his mouth and beat him up, or cut off the thing below to make him a real woman. This has happened more than once.

However, now, His Royal Highness, the Ninth Prince not only doesn’t feel annoyed, but also empathizes with him. While patting the young man with red eyes, he comforted him incoherently, “What are you crying for? It’s just an unofficial history, they don’t even know if it’s real or fake Stupid? Don’t be stupid, stop crying, otherwise, otherwise…” Otherwise, I will cry too.

“It’s true.” You Shu hiccupped while crying. He was so sad, as long as he thought of hurting his master’s heart, he wished he could kill himself.

“So what if it’s true? It has nothing to do with you. Besides, I don’t think Emperor Zongsheng is pitiful. An emperor who can destroy the seven kingdoms one by one, but can’t even protect his sweetheart, and ended up with a lonely life. It is his own fault. If it were me, I would never let my sweetheart leave me for even a moment. I would tie him firmly, put an end to all schemes for him, and bring the most beautiful and precious things in the world to please him. “The Ninth Prince’s tone showed undisguised sarcasm, as well as many unknown longings.

Others said that he was the reincarnation of Emperor Zongsheng, but he extremely looked down on this ancestor. If he can’t even hold on to the person he loves the most, what kind of emperor should he be? What a waste!

You Shu didn’t expect her current master to be so dismissive of his former self, so he was a little surprised. He looked up, and although there were still tears in his eyes, he forgot to cry for a moment.

Taking advantage of this time, the Ninth Prince quickly wiped away his tears and ordered, “Be good, don’t cry. This unofficial history is all hearsay, and whether it is true or false, it has already passed, so why worry about it again and again.”

You Shu listened to his master the most, and because of the guilt in his heart, he didn’t dare to disobey him, so he quickly put away his tears, but his grief had not yet calmed down, so he hiccupped one after another. The Ninth Prince picked up the teacup to cool it down a bit, and carefully fed him a few sips, his eyes full of love.

Seeing that the situation was finally under control, Xue Wangjing and others ordered his followers to rush the dishes. The waiter quickly came in with a tray and placed the steaming food on the table. You Shu always loves to eat whenever he is in a bad mood, and he immediately picks up the bowl to eat the rice, hiccupping while eating.

The Ninth Prince secretly felt it was funny, holding the teacup in his left hand and chopsticks in the right, while feeding the young man water and picking up vegetables for him, he didn’t have time to eat a bite.

After the feeling of suffocation passed, You Shu realized that something was wrong, and hurriedly served his master the rice and vegetables very carefully and thoughtfully. He has missed six hundred years, and he doesn’t want to miss the reunion now.

The Ninth Prince has always taken it for granted that he has been served since he was a child, but now he is very satisfied. As long as it is served by the young man, he will eat it all.

As the saying goes, even the same soul after rebirth and reincarnation will be a different individual. They have their own families, their own growth experiences and memories. You Shu referred to his master’s previous habit of serving dishes, but he didn’t know that the Ninth Prince no longer liked to eat these things.

Xue Wangjing originally wanted to remind him with a few words, but seeing that one of them was serving and the other was eating happily, he didn’t dare to talk too much.
